Curious piece of oak writing desk furniture, Norman work from the Le Havre region.
Composed of a row of three drawers at the top, a writing case concealing 6 small drawers, a door with cut-out, Louis XIV inside and out, sides with scalloped crosspiece, finished with a posterior foot.
Quality furniture. According to family tradition, this piece of furniture would have been used by a shipowner's accountant, and was used to check goods into storage rooms.
