Louis XV style flat desk on all sides, with structure in Rosewood veneer forming harmoniously arranged series of nets.
The generously sized workspace is covered in authentic Red leather. Its size explains its composition in three elements, the junctions of which are skillfully rendered almost imperceptible by friezes on a hard background. This precious dressing is also adorned with corner florets and bordered with golden friezes. This tray is framed by a large brass rod shaped with Gorge and "Bec de Corbin", and each of its four corners is adorned with an ornate Bronze escutcheon.
This cabinet, with a modestly scalloped belt, opens with three drawers equipped with original locks, their current keys, and, for two of them, finely cut bronze pull handles. The one in the more refined center is also shallower than those on the sides, offering storage over 9.5 cm high.
To create symmetry and a pleasant visual, the "back" of this Middle Desk, which is ready to receive, offers a facade similar to that of the front, but the drawers are fictitious.
The whole rests on four curved feet embellished over their entire height by Bronzes in Busts of women, which taper into pearls and foliage to the clogs which decorate the feet.
The interior of the drawers is in Oak.
We will appreciate the elegance of this ceremonial desk as well as its warm leather, whose slight traces of wear give it more Charm and Character than they do away with it.
