Small Mahogany Flat Desk Louis XVI Style

Circa 1800

Delightful Louis XVI style mahogany and mahogany veneer small flat desk, opening with two drawers on the front and standing on four sheathed legs ending in gilded bronze shoes.

This desk is trimmed with a Havana leather top gilded with Petit fer. Its top is encircled by a Gilt Bronze Lingotière. Gilded Bronze ornamentation such as Sabots, Entrées de Serrures, Lingotière, Bagues. It has its own key.

Refined, beautifully crafted furniture of attractive proportions.

Parisian work in the Louis XVI style, late 18th century, circa 1800.
