Solid chestnut dish rack, consisting of a gendarme-cap door with a perforated, tin-plated iron plate inscribed "Jean TURMEL et A MOULINET" with heart, stars and chalice. The central part is designed to hold cutlery, while the lower part has shelves for draining dishes and a cutlery tray. Originally, this piece of furniture was hung on the wall and used to protect and preserve food, and was given as a wedding gift. It was very common in Brittany in peasant homes. A few examples can be found in the extreme south of Manche.
