Thonet wall-mounted coat and hat rack, circa 1890, with 5 hooks ending in a ball.
It is in its original shellac varnish in the "Oak" version (1)
Perfectly preserved condition, ready for use.
This model is one of the longest in the series; it is more often available with bars than with balls.
(1) Very early on, Thonet offered optional finishes for furniture imitating a wood species other than the beech still used for the manufacture of bentwood. The best known are the "rosewood style" and the "oak style."
