Beautiful Napoleon III period middle table - Louis XVI style, richly inlaid with various native woods on blackened wood. (Lemon, burr walnut, walnut, green-stained wood,

It opens with a large central drawer decorated with marquetry,

About Charles-Guillaume Diehl, born July 28, 1811 in Steinbach (Hesse, Germany) and died June 20, 1885 in Chessy (Seine-et-Marne, France), was a cabinetmaker specializing in the creation of small pieces of furniture. He became a naturalized French citizen in 1872.
He settled in Paris in 1840. He is listed as a table maker in 1850.
