Superb Transition-style freshening table in mahogany and mahogany veneer, top inlaid with white marble, top fitted with two silver-plated metal fresheners, waist opening with a drawer, resting on four arched legs joined by two crotch shelves, finished with casters.
The workmanship is very fine and can be compared with that of Canabas (Joseph Gegenbach, known as Canabas, 1715-1797).
The Musée du Louvre holds a similar pair in its collections, as does the Musée Nissim de Camondo (illustrated in "Musée Nissim de Camondo", 1973, no. 271, p.65).

Very fine condition.
Later castors.

Dimensions :
Height 77 cm
Width 58 cm
Depth 51 cm

AVAILABLE AS A PAIR . We have a second identical pair for sale.

On request, I can arrange delivery in France and abroad.
