A very elegant pedestal table in amboyna veneer and ebonized wood, with a circular top and a slightly recessed apron, resting on four arched legs inlaid with fillets, joined on a square-section plinth base with concave sides, supported by four small pads (minor damage).
Early 19th century.
Good condition.
The great modernity of this pedestal table, the details added, particularly to the work of the apron, as well as the similarity of the arched legs found on several consoles by Jean-Joseph Chapuis, lead us to attribute this table to the famous master.
