Important Regency-period walnut armoire opening with two high, wide doors with curved, arched panels richly carved in high relief with foliage, fleur-de-lis scrolls and a bunch of grapes. The cabinet is topped with a handsome cornice with a scallop shell at the top. The cabinet is crowned with a fine cornice in the shape of a "chapeau de gendarme", with a scallop shell at the top, and three shelves inside. A very good 18th-century piece of furniture in its natural state.
