Beautiful oak wedding armoire in the Transition Louis XV / Louis XVI style. It dates from the 19th century. It opens with two front leaves hinged by lace plugs. It is decorated with Louis XV moldings accompanied by Louis XVI beaded medallions on the leaves and a bouquet of flowers on the top rail. It is topped by a solid, richly molded cornice and stands on cambered legs carved with pearls on the front and straight legs on the back. The back, floor and ceiling are also in oak, as are the three shelves. All in perfect original condition. Original lock and key. Laces and escutcheons are also original. Fully pegged, of course!
