Small two-door wardrobe in solid oak, early 19th century, Louis XIV style.
Sober plinth architecture with flat cornice. The two leaves have molded panels on two levels; the upper panel is crowned with a sculpted frieze in a broken arch called a “gendarme hat”, characteristic of the Louis XIV / Regency transition. Original wrought iron ironwork: hinges with turned pins and central lock. Red marble top veined with white, edges softened on top, raw below, presenting an old patina consistent with the piece. The interior reveals four adjustable shelves in light oak and a bottom in raw oak planks; interior upholstery in modern floral paper, shrinkage to be expected depending on use. Homogeneous natural patina of the wood, wear consistent with the declared period. Original state of conservation, no major intervention reported. Dimensions: H. 120 cm × L. 87 cm – Weight: 60 kg.
