Description

Charming ovoid vase with a flared neck on a double-layered glass pedestal. Decorated in acid-etched cameo style with foliage and red raspberries on an opaque white background, it is unique in that a butterfly has been over-engraved on the inner layer to conceal an open bubble inside the vase—an original flaw that makes it a true rarity today.

Circa 1919-1925
