    Rare lot of 18 millefiori shirt buttons, Clichy crystal works, mid-19th century.

    Each button has a single millefiori candy inside. The "cake mold" shape of some of the candies, the miniature pink or green "rose de Clichy" present in the decoration of some buttons, and the "star-shaped" canes on others, allow an almost certain attribution to the Clichy crystal works, and a dating to the mid-19th century, Napoleon III period.

    The lot comprises 18 buttons, one of which has lost the hot-glued metal loop it was attached to, while another is visibly cracked. Their diameter varies between 8 and 10mm.

    Available for collection in Montpellier, Marseille, Avignon and surrounding areas, and can be shipped in very careful packaging.
