Venetian glass vase from the 1950s/60s, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by AVEM (Arte Vetraria Muranese), as part of their "Bizantino" series (commonly referred to by collectors as "tutti-frutti"). The vase has an organic shape with multicolored swirls, decorated with silver leaf, white zanfirico lattice filigree, twisted ribbon canes, and copper aventurine and silver powder. The whole is enclosed in a red glass inner case and a clear glass outer case. It does not bear a label or signature. Measurements: 19 cm high, 11 x 14 cm opening, 10 cm diameter base.
