Large pair of engraved crystal decanters decorated with floral garlands. Original faceted stoppers.
Good overall condition, some minor scratches from use.
Early 20th century, circa 1910.
Dimensions with stoppers: H 31 and 30 cm, without stoppers: 25 and 24 cm, Diameter approximately 13 cm.

At the beginning of the 20th century, a pair of crystal decanters naturally graced the table. They were used to present water, wine, or sometimes liqueurs (depending on their size). Cut or engraved crystal, a noble material reserved for the upper class, captured the light from lamps and candles, thus highlighting the refined art of fine dining.
