In the heart of the Bièvre valley in Lorraine, Hartzviller is a small French commune where the soul of master glassmakers has long flourished.
The glassworks opened in 1932, and closed for good in 2004.

It was created as a workers' cooperative of around a hundred glassmakers.

All production was traditionally in mouth-blown, hand-formed crystal.
The cold workshop showcased the work of the cutters, who decorated the glass with a variety of traditional motifs: bevel cut, flat rib cut, rich cut...
At the time, Hartzviller was known the world over for the quality of its production!

Its reputation was worldwide, and it was used in prestigious Parisian palaces such as the Ritz, the Plaza Athénée and the Crillon.
