A fine collaboration between Legras and goldsmiths, notably Victor Saglier (1809-1894), is presented here with this magnificent cookie bucket.
The bucket is made of glass with enamelled anemone decoration in polychrome and gold on a frosted background.
(Produced by the Montjoye Saint-Denis glassworks, thus by Legras).
The mounting is in silver-plated metal with flower decoration by Victor Saglier. The goldsmith collaborated on some of the glassworks' productions, making this an unusual item.
The Legras company's collaboration with silversmiths, particularly Victor Saglier, is described in the Legras catalog raisonné, page 207 (see photos 8 and 9).
Excellent condition, with some wear.
