Pineapple door in opaline XIX; This object had a particular function in the 18th and early 19th centuries, that of presenting a pineapple (rare exotic fruit and
expensive at that time). The big houses presented them and sometimes even rented them at receptions. It is a beautiful object fallen into oblivion
but which is very decorative and which, why not, can be brought up to date given the price of this fruit!
Note a small lack on the base (photo).
