Nicolas Dorigny, born in 1652 in Paris where he died in 1746, was a French painter and engraver. The son of the painter and engraver Michel Dorigny, trained by Gérard Audran, he interpreted Raphael's famous cartoons in London with Claude Dubosc, then Dominicuchino and Giovanni Francesco Barbieri Guercino.
He was admitted to the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture in 1725.
