    MARCEL- LENOIR is the pseudonym of Jules OURY (1872-1931).
    Painter, engraver, illustrator, jeweler....français.
    His talent was quickly recognized during his lifetime, and he exhibited at the major Salons of his day, receiving public commissions and having a museum dedicated to him.

    Born into a family of goldsmiths, MARCEL6LENOIR began his studies in Paris in 1889 at the Arts-décoratifs and then the Beaux-Arts.
    His work is timeless, cradled by the many influences that would evolve over the course of his career. (Middle Ages, Symbolism, Cézanne...)
    In 1919-1920, Marcel-Lenoir founded the "Institut d'esthétique contemporaine". He taught fresco art, engraving and illustration.
