Original drawing made in graphite signed and dated 2020 on Canson sheet after the work (Breakfast 1879 Basel Museum) by the Swiss illustrator and painter Albert Anker 1831-1910. Nicknamed "the national painter" for his favorite themes: the social life of his country, genre scenes and especially children. We find in his biography a passage in the workshop of the painter Charles Gleyre in Paris, also working for Théodore Deck, great ceramist of the 19th century. Anker left more than 300 designs for earthenware. His still lifes are of very high quality. His production of more than 600 oils including 250 paintings of children reveal a sense of observation and accuracy in the vein of the great humanists (Jean Jacques Rousseau).
Artist (Isabelle Duval 1957-...) Dimensions of the sheet 41 x 31. Framed by me, goes everywhere glass and wooden sticks. Careful shipping by Colissimo.
