    Artist: Signed To Be Identified
Important charcoal drawing on paper – Portrait of a Woman with a Glass – Signed and dated 1947
Large charcoal drawing with highlights on tinted paper depicting a strong-willed woman, shown half-length, holding a glass in her hand.
The expressive treatment of the face, the vigor of the line, and the interplay of light and shadow give this work a remarkable presence.
The work is signed and dated "Brown?" (to be deciphered) and bears the date 1947.
It is presented in its original molded wood frame.
This portrait, of fine quality, demonstrates a sensibility akin to post-war expressionism.
The composition highlights the psychological strength of the model and the artist's graphic skill.
Condition: some signs of age and a visible tear in the paper, which do not detract from the overall decorative quality.
    Sold in its frame.

    Dimensions with frame:
    Height: 98 cm
    Width: 78 cm
A striking decorative piece, ideal for a collection of 20th-century drawings or a distinctive interior.
