Large drypoint engraving. The port of Landévennec, dated 1935.
André DAUCHEZ (1870-1948). Painter, engraver, and photographer. He practiced engraving from the beginning. He settled in Brittany, in Loctudy. His works can be found at the Musée d'Orsay and the Fine Arts Museums of Quimper, Rennes, Strasbourg, Troyes, Nantes, Lille, and the museums of Le Havre and Morlaix. Abroad, he exhibited works in Budapest, Bucharest, Barcelona, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh.
He became the official painter of the Navy in 1922.
