    Jacques Renaud Benard, sometimes incorrectly called Robert Bénard, was a French engraver, born in Rosny-sous-Bois on April 13, 1731, and died in Paris on July 4, 1794. He contributed to the writing of the encyclopedic and methodical table of the three kingdoms of nature, including ornithology, by Abbé Bonnaterre in 1791.
