Orfeo TAMBURI (1910-1994) is known for his portraits of urban life. Fascinated by Cézanne, he developed a warm-toned style with broad lines. He moved to Paris in 1971 and illustrated the capital. That same year, he was awarded the Gold Medal of Italian Cultural Merit.
