    Venetian Scene

Young Patrician Women Purchasing Fabrics from Levantine Merchants, 15th Century

Large 19th-century engraving by Lemoine, after Auguste Gendron (1817–1881).

Published by J. Andrieu, 23 rue des Lois, Toulouse.

Printed by Chardon-Wittmann, 10 rue de l’Abbaye, Paris.

    Sheet size: 62.5 × 84.7 cm (24.61 × 33.35 in)

    Image size: 42 × 61 cm (16.54 × 24.02 in)

This engraving, over 150 years old, is preserved in good overall condition, considering its age.

Our restorer has carefully cleaned the print to remove traces of ageing. The engraving had a tear in the left-hand margin, which has been carefully restored.

Once the engraving has been mounted with a passe-partout and framed, this restoration will be virtually imperceptible.

We invite you to examine the photographs carefully, as they form an integral part of the description and condition report for this engraving.
