Louis Eugène LAMBERT (1825-900)
was a French painter specializing in animal representations. Some critics of the time dubbed him the "Raphael of cats".
A pupil of Eugène Delacroix, he soon decided to devote himself to cats and dogs.
His talent led him to become a member of the Société des aquarellistes from 1879 to 1896.
His paintings can be found in major museums such as the Luxxembourg in Paris, the British Museum in Paris and the Royal Museum in Paris.
