Gouache representing a rich Italian landscape with figures in the foreground walking on a path leading to a body of water, around them beautiful lush vegetation, in the sky some threatening clouds; entitled "Paese del Tempestino d'Italia", School of Poussin, after a painting presented at the Doria Gallery in Rome, signed Montpetit and dated 1806, vintage early 19th century.
This gouache is in good condition. Signed lower left. It is presented in a Louis XVI golden frame / baguette from the 18th century.
