Alexander Liberman spent his youth between Saint Petersburg and Moscow. After the Russian Revolution, his family emigrated to England with the permission of Lenin.[1] His education took place in Moscow, in London, but especially in Paris where he took classes with André Lhote, went to the School of Fine Arts to study architecture, then collaborated with Cassandre[2]. He married in 1936 to Hilda Sturm.
