This lithograph, titled "The Wood Sawyer," bears Toffoli's pencil signature and a print number in the lower left corner.
It is old and in good overall condition. We note some rust spots around the edge of the lithograph, and the tape on the back is old. However, this lithograph remains in very good overall condition.
Louis Toffoli (1907-1999), painter and lithographer, successively Austro-Hungarian, then Italian, and French, devoted a period of his career to working with light in lithography. He exhibited canvases inspired by the world of work, one of the strong themes of his work, at the Salon des Indépendants.
