Note: The lithograph is dedicated to Jean Viaud (1865-1948), horticulturist, writer, veterinarian, historian, and art collector. Born Jean Viaud, he mostly signed his books under the pseudonym "Gabriel Viaud". He was the son-in-law and successor of Georges Bruant, whose horticultural establishment in Poitiers he took over.
