Signed off the plate lower right, with the inscription "épreuve d'artiste" lower left.
Signed in the plate lower left, with the dry stamp "P. Jouve" lower right.

Provenance: French private collection of a family that was very close to Mr. and Mrs. Jouve.

History: Plate taken from the original composition created by the artist for the mural decoration of the Normandie liner's correspondence lounge in 1935.
