    Several "Montmartois" artistic cabarets settled in Marseille in the 1920s (le Pupu's, le Chat rieur, La Lune rousse, le Merle blanc).
    Georges Pourrat was a painter and decorator before settling as a painter at the beginning of the 20th century. He exhibited his works in Marseilles where he enjoyed success in the 1920s and 1930s. He then moved to Arles in the 1940s.
