Pastel on paper depicting the sails of boats in a harbor or during a regatta...
signed "JORDAN" in the lower right corner. The paper is slightly creased (see photos) and mounted on cardboard. André Jordan 1908–1982. A painter who traveled extensively, particularly in Indochina, creating portraits of peasants in pencil and charcoal prints, as well as lithographs. In the 1950s, in Provence, he paid tribute to small ports; sailboats, rowboats, and fishermen were a great source of inspiration to him.
