This watercolor on paper depicts the West Indies, signed Bernard Lamotte and dedicated to Monsieur and Madame Marsand.
Bernard Lamotte (1903-1983) was an artist, illustrator and muralist. From 1932 to 1935, he traveled to Tahiti and New York, where he settled to pursue his art. In 1936, the Wildenstein Gallery in New York organized his first solo exhibition.
Condition: the frame is slightly damaged, pitted and stained, particularly in the Marie-Louise. However, the work is in good condition.
