Important earthenware vase stamped by the house of De Bruyn, famous earthenware factory in the district of Fives in Lille, from 1864 until its closure in 1950. This ceramic decorated with butterfly and thistles, bearing the reference "No. 3185 BIS", was published in different colors. This one has a midnight blue background, while the beautiful decorations in relief, as well as the handles reminiscent of a chrysalis, have a nuanced water green tone.
This Vase of considerable dimensions, a vestige of a French know-how that has now disappeared, will please with its deep colors and harmonious ornaments.
