This vibrant Delft charger was made in the 18th c and has been decorated in a chinoiserie style. The condition is average for old delft: you will see the typical fritting/chipping around the rim exposing the earthenware body; there are scratches from use; there are kiln faults chiefly in the form of pinholes and small bits of clay stuck to the glaze; and as you would expect, there are 3 support marks on the base. I have tried to capture examples in the photos, but if you would like any more pictures, please get in touch. The charger is marked to the base, but so far I have been unable to identify the maker.
The plate's diameter is roughly 34.5 cm and it is approximately 5 cm high. This is quite a heavy piece, weighing about 1053 g.
