Large Gien earthenware serving plate or platter, Blue Bird pattern, 1990

Designed at the end of the 20th century, the Blue Bird pattern is among the most beautiful designs created by the Gien pottery factory, located in central France.

Entirely handcrafted and hand-painted, this platter is slightly concave, perfect for presenting your dishes or desserts. A tart or cake can also be presented on it, provided it fits in the hollow.

The beauty of this design is what led to Gien's revival, aiming for a more modern and sophisticated style compared to its previous, more classic designs. This layered blend of nature, birds, branches, and polychrome fruit, such as blue against a white background, creates an absolutely sublime effect, ideal for collectors for its design rather than its functionality.

Fast and careful shipping to France, Europe, and worldwide.
