Vermeil brooch featuring a bunch of grapes adorned with coral beads, the vermeil leaves chased.
Late 19th/early 20th century, certainly from Italy.
The brooch is not hallmarked, but has been tested.
Note that the gilding has faded in places to give way to silver, resulting in a gold and silver patina.
    Brooch bar length: 5 cm
Height of cluster plus coral button: 4cm

Coral jewelry, which is widespread in the Mediterranean basin, is not specific to Provence, but has always been highly prized in the region and remains so to this day.
