This daisy ring dates from the 19th century, as evidenced by the engraving inside (1882). It features the characteristic shape of rings from that era, with refined craftsmanship and shoulders on either side of the central daisy.

It is made of 18k yellow gold (750/1000), hallmarked with an eagle's head, and is most notably adorned in its center with a superb, fine button-shaped pearl of considerable size, measuring 7.2/7.3 mm in diameter. This exceptional material, formed spontaneously and composed solely of mother-of-pearl, is found only in antique jewelry. Rare in this size due to its unique composition, it also possesses incomparable luster and brilliance, as well as a subtle and distinctive color, ranging from gold to bluish-purple. Its exceptional brilliance and the quality of its surface allow it to absorb the colors around it, resulting in a constantly changing color. Any white marks or lines appearing on its surface in photographs are merely reflections. It sits at the center of a setting of sixteen fine, old-cut diamonds, delicately set within an equally refined basket.

The ring itself is quite substantial and engraved on the inside with a name and the date April 13, 1882.
The ring was examined by the French Gemmological Laboratory (LFG, formerly CCIP), which issued a certificate attesting to the pearl's status as a fine pearl and detailing its characteristics.
