A 750/°° (18 KT, eagle's head hallmark) white gold ring in the Art Deco style.
This ring embodies the style's hallmarks: primarily adorned with an onyx plaque, set in its center with an old-cut diamond, the white color of the metal, the square and rectilinear lines…right down to the detail of the finely beaded edge of the diamond setting. A chiseled cut below the onyx plaque, around the diamond, adds volume to this otherwise flat piece of jewelry. A series of double prongs punctuate and rhythmically define the contour, while also protecting the onyx plaque. These prongs are crafted like "descending claws" and extend to below the ring head, a hidden detail in the design of this piece with its distinctly Art Deco lines.
