A delightful Athenian candlestick, in gilt bronze and brown patinated bronze, decorated with pine cones, lotus leaves, fluting, pearl friezes, and a post frieze. The lid turns to reveal the socket, the bowl supported by three feet decorated with ram's heads, lambrequins, and finished with claws, joined on a trilobed base, bordered by a frieze of heart-shaped rays (minor wear).
Second half of the 19th century.
