These two sculptures are made of ironwood. The eyes are in sulfide with an orange patina. They were made by hand, circa 1900.
They are probably candleholders or incense-holders, and a hole can be seen, perhaps to hold a spade.
There is a small marking above, to be identified.
As for condition, there are a few cracks to report and some gluing.
