An elegant pair of antique candlesticks in brass, patinated bronze and cobalt-blue enameled porcelain, decorated with polychrome floral medallions.
Each candlestick rests on a finely molded brass circular base decorated with friezes and gadroons. The central shaft is composed of a deep-blue porcelain element, adorned on one side with a cartouche in reserve featuring delicate hand-painted floral decoration (country bouquets in pink, green and yellow tones).
The bronze upper part takes the form of a stylized corolla with a tulip-shaped spigot resting on a leafy motif.
The ensemble presents a classic Napoleon III / 19th century-inspired style, blending decorative bronze and porcelain in the Romantic taste.
