A magnificent vintage Space Age-style pendant lamp, dating from the late 1960s or early 1970s, attributed to designer Friedel Wauer for the renowned German manufacturer Goldkant Leuchten, a pioneer in the development and popularization of the revolutionary “Cocoon” coating technique.

This lamp features an organic, sculptural silhouette composed of radial lobes that evoke both a natural marine structure and futuristic architecture. Its timeless aesthetic blends perfectly into Mid-Century Modern, Space Age, vintage, or contemporary interiors.

The internal structure consists of a metal frame made of profiled steel covered with a polymer resin sprayed using the “Cocoon” process. This technique gives the lampshade a unique texture reminiscent of parchment or a silk cocoon, while diffusing a soft, warm, and glare-free light.
