Antique-style chandelier in gilt and patinated bronze, an early Empire-style piece, first half of the 19th century.

A beautiful four-light model in the form of an antique lamp, featuring a large gilt bronze flame. The patinated bronze structure is richly decorated with mercury-gilt bronze motifs in matte and burnished finishes: water leaves, pine cones, and candles supported by patinated and gilt bronze imperial eagle heads.

The design is rich, the proportions very elegant, and it is a beautiful chandelier, rare in this small size, which makes it easy to place.

We are including four Baccarat crystal bobeches with diamond-point decoration (signed).

Our chandelier is in superb condition; the gilding is well preserved, and the rest has a beautiful brown patina. The eagle heads are remarkably lifelike, with their plumage in high relief. The chandelier has been disassembled, cleaned piece by piece, and rewired. No parts are missing.
