This large cage-shaped bronze chandelier is provided with a rich ornamentation of crystals. Around a very pretty central column in cut crystal with different motifs, are fixed, staged on two levels, the lights. Fifteen in number, they form a first row of nine arms, alternated by three large and wide daggers, then an upper row of six arms among which are three thinner, six-sided daggers. The whole is embellished with cut pears, smooth half pears, rosettes and chains of faceted beads. At the damping a blown glass ball completes the set.
This Chandelier has been completely dismantled, reassembled, gilded and re-electrified as new. It is equipped with sleeves sheathed with fake candles covered with real wax, so the illusion is perfect.
Period second half of the 19th century.
Height 120 cm, width 64 cm.
