Large ormolu and chased chandelier by Maison Delisle with 20 arms of light in two rows. The upper cup of the chandelier, with its scalloped edges, rests on a pedestal decorated with gadroons from which large stylized acanthus leaves emerge. Immediately above, the first ten scroll-shaped arms of light unfurl, each with a channel-decorated cup at its end. Between the two rows, the column is in the shape of an imposing egg, decorated with a sieve of flowers and supporting the second circular element, from which the ten other, longer arms of light are supported; below, a small inverted pomegranate completes the composition.

Driven by a desire to uphold tradition and artisanal techniques, Maison Delisle has established itself over the decades as a company that upholds French know-how. Commissioned as early as 1913 by Paul Alexandrovitch of Russia in Tsarskoe Selo, Maison Delisle has continued to respond to ever more prestigious orders, as in 2011 when it created all the lighting fixtures for the Château de Louveciennes, since sold for 275 million euros. By regularly teaming up with contemporary artists, the high-end company aims to offer lighting collections that blend modernity and tradition, while rivalling in finesse.
