Rare floor lamp by Architectural Lighting, designed by the famous industrial designer Peter Nelson in the 1960s.
The design language and materiality of Nelson's creations reflect his experience in the aircraft industry. Aluminum as a "signature material" and "engineered" precision and treatment. His lighting designs are characterized by a purist aesthetic that inherits functional and technical details. This floor lamp is designed in a combination of brushed aluminum and chromed steel. The finely crafted stem is the solid-material lamp on which the spotlight is mounted. A trademark of these lamps is the characteristic "Cube Switch Box", a simple milled aluminum box with integrated pressure switches. The lamp is labeled under the base. Height 138cm.
