An astonishing pair of Chinese floor lamps, probably made of carved, openwork ironwood circa 1950.
They are height-adjustable, with the central round stem rising and falling and locked in place by a wooden wedge to adapt the luminosity (see photos).
The lampshades are made of thick paper immortalizing pig's bladder. Each fixture is lit by a conventional screw-in bulb, with working electrification.
